On Dec. 22, an unidentified vandal or vandals sprayed paint randomly onto the women’s building walls and wrote slogans such as “No war in Iraq” and “Why are dykes so ugly?” on the sidewalk. Other, harsher, misogynistic terms were also used.
The Arab-owned café and a nearby apartment building were also defaced.
Porth described vandalism of the café and Women’s Building as “a recurring problem.”
