New Jewish community chorale seeks more members Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | June 20, 2003 Participants need not audition, read music or belong to a synagogue. They should bring a love of harmony and a willingness to learn. The director is Billie Bandermann, a voice teacher since 1983 at DeAnza College, where she directs the women's chorus. The group is self-sustaining and is currently asking for voluntary contributions of $10 per rehearsal (or $30 a month), which includes vocal training and music. However, nobody will be turned away for inability to pay. For further information, the group Web site is www.Hashirim.org or contact Harve Citrin at (650) 327-0829 or [email protected] J.
