Joan & Herschel Solomon

Joan and Herschel Solomon of San Francisco will celebrate their 50th anniversary Nov. 1 at the Village Pub with family and friends. They are the parents of Amy Solomon of Boulder, Colo., and Dore Bowen of Ithaca, N.Y.

The couple were married Nov. 1, 1953, in Central City, Pa. Herschel has been a practicing radiologist in the Bay Area for 44 years. Joan was a former president of the Lafayette Hadassah chapter and Temple Isaiah Sisterhood and a counselor for Planned Parenthood. She is currently a docent with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
