Everett, Louis E. In San Francisco, Oct. 5. Husband of Peggy Everett for 59 years. Father of Charles (and Laura) Everett and Suzan (and Steve) Stemerman. Grandfather of George and Julie Stemerman and Max, Hailey, Hannah and Annie Everett. Brother of Yvonne (and Len) Hurwitt, Nadine (and Dr. Bernard) Monetta and the late George Everett and Walter Schwartz. Brother-in-law of the late Elsie Rudometkin. Uncle of Sharon (and Alan) Levins, Nancy (and Matt) Browar, Joan (and Dr. Mitchel) Berger, David (and Lisa) Monetta and Dr. Robert (and Natalie) Monetta. Son of the late Charles and Esther Ehrenberg. Operated Ehrenberg Bros., a San Francisco discount women’s clothing store, with his father and his uncle Dewey. Started Everett Realty with his brother George. Native of San Francisco. Attended Galileo High School and schools in the Marina District. Sailor, fisherman and charter member of Golden Gate Yacht Club. Member of Lake Merced Golf Club. Played semi-professional baseball. Member of the Cow Hollow Boy’s Club. Services were held at Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City. Forrest, Florence At home in Berkeley, Oct. 17. Age 82. Wife of Seymour Baruch. Aunt of Jeffrey Wagner. Born in New York. Berkeley resident for 43 years. Worked as a fund-raiser for Israel Bonds in San Francisco in the 1950s. Moved to Los Angeles and worked for United Jewish Appeal, where she met her husband. They returned to the Bay Area in 1960, settling in Berkeley. Operated Si’s Charbroiler on Telegraph Avenue from 1960 to 1973. Returned to fund-raising for City of Hope in San Francisco and then Committee of Responsibility in Berkeley until her retirement. Volunteer at Berkeley Richmond Jewish Community Center, U.C. Berkeley Art Museum and the children’s ward at Kaiser Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23 at the BRJCC. Mayer, Sylvan In Burlingame, Oct. 16. Husband of Dorothea Mayer. Father of William (and Lynne) Mayer and Linda (and Alan) Duerson. Brother of Jane Powell. Grandfather of Jaime Mayer and Michael and Lauren Duerson. Native of San Francisco. Born Aug. 24, 1914. Graduate of Cogswell College in 1934, which named him Alumnus of the Year in 2003. Longtime president of Burlingame Hills Improvement Association. Longtime member of Lebanon Pacific Lodge F&AM. Services were held at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, Colma.
