Longtime manager of Doidge Koren Paint Store in San Francisco. World War II veteran. Services were held at Hills of Eternity Cemetery, Colma, under the direction of Sinai Memorial Chapel.

Posner, Sophie Finkelstein In Corte Madera, Dec. 2. Age 93. Wife of the late Louis Posner. Mother of Marilyn Cohen and Barbara (and Joel) Renbaum. Grandmother of Gretchen (and Max) Solender, Pamela (and Lance) Shank, Jeffrey (and Rebecca) Cohen, Leslie (and David) Ufberg, Michelle (and Darren) Black, and Allison (and Eric) Boester. Great-grandmother of Eric and Sara Solender, Allyson Parks, Ryan Shank, Aislinn Cohen, Alexa and Zachary Ufberg and Evan Black. Great-grandmother of Alessandro and Sarah Sassoon and Nicolas and David Deschler. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Family includes Giovanna Marazzi-Sassoon and Christopher Deschler. Grandmother of Jacob and Sierra Segal and Alyssa and Brett Caplan. Daughter of the late Anna and Max Baskin. Sister of the late Sadie and Sy Keiser. Daughter-in-law of the late Pauline Schwimmer. Aunt, cousin and friend to many. Born Jan. 14, 1925, in Oakland. Graduated from Oakland High School in 1942. Received bachelor’s degree in 1948 and master’s of social work in 1951 from U.C. Berkeley.
