Correspondent | February 13, 2004 Janet Shwartz and Michael Miller were married May 25 at Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco. Rabbi Peretz Wolf-Prusan officiated. A reception at the Omni San Francisco Hotel followed. The bride received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from UCLA and a master’s degree in counseling from George Washington University, where she is pursuing her doctorate in counseling. She is the daughter of Susan and Paul Shwartz and the sister of Stacy Shwartz, all of San Francisco. Grandparents are Frieda Shapiro of San Francisco and the late Howard Shapiro and Lillian and Jack Shwartz. The groom received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Frostburg State University and is a developer in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. He is the son of Philip Miller of Potomac, Md., and the late Judy Miller. He is the brother of Stefanie Greenberg of Rockville, Md.; David Miller of Potomac, Md.; and Robby Miller of Bethesda, Md. Grandparents are Ruth Miller of Bethesda; the late Isadore Miller; Zelda Saposnekoo of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and the late Louis Saposnekoo. Maid of honor was Stacy Shwartz. Best man was Robby Miller. Bridesmaids were Wendy Suessmann Sterling, Sarah Kokin, Stefanie Greenberg, Jennifer Miller and Meredith Miller. Ushers were David Miller, Jeffrey Greenberg, Michael Weiner, Frank Stanziola, Dustin Sears and Devin Sears. The couple met on a blind date after Janet had moved to California from Washington, D.C., for a job after college. They were set up by Janet’s boss, Stefanie Greenberg, who is Michael’s sister. After a honeymoon in Hawaii, the newlyweds are living in Bethesda. Ariel Kleckner and Durand Ford were married July 5 at White Bear Lake, Minn. Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman and Judge Allen Oleisky officiated. The bride, a technology consultant, received a bachelor’s degree from U.C. Santa Barbara and a master of science from Stanford University. She is the daughter of Wendy Bergman Kleckner and Howard Kleckner of Palo Alto and the sister of Jed Kleckner of Philadelphia. Grandparents are the late Evelyn Lazar Kleckner, Harry Kleckner, Rita Hollander Bergman and Oscar Bergman. The groom, an actor, received a bachelor’s degree from Vassar College. He is the son of Olivia Churchill Ford and Silas Ford III of Bronxville, N.Y., and the brother of Bruce and Janna Genereaux of Hanover, N.H.; Francois-Xavier and Nannette Bertschy of Konigstein, Germany; Christopher Ford of Budapest; and Rob Werling, Kim Ford and David and Margaret Ford, all of Minneapolis. Grandparents are the late Josephine Adele Ford, Silas Ford II, and Clothilde and M. Creighton Churchill. After a honeymoon in Thailand, the newlyweds are living in San Francisco. Tobi Tikva “Tiki” Weinstein and Doron Keller were married Oct. 20 in Tel Aviv. The bride graduated from Brandeis University with a major in fine arts. She is the daughter of Yaffa and Gary A. Weinstein of Belmont and the sister of Dassi Weinstein of South San Francisco and Matthew Weinstein of Belmont. Grandparents are the late Betty and Harry L. Weinstein and the late Channa and Yakov Haim. The groom received a degree in electrical engineering from Tel Aviv University. He is the son of Yarkona and Chaim Keller and the brother of Shimon Keller, all of Tel Aviv. Grandparents are Yisrael Stemmer of Tel Aviv and the late Zipporah Stemmer and Shimon and Gute Keller.
