Kuriloff, Effie Hannah At home in San Francisco, Feb. 26, of breast cancer. Age 73. Mother of Nomi and Daria Schwarzschild. Daughter of the late Nora and Morris Kuriloff. Sister of Aaron Kuriloff. Former wife of Bert Shimon Schwarzschild. Aunt and cousin to many. Born May 31, 1931, in Brooklyn. Received a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University and a master’s in early childhood education from Bank Street College of Education in New York. Director of Rocky Mountain Nursery School for more than 35 years. Parent and child educator. Environmental and community activist. Artist. Received awards for her role in the cooperative parent participation nursery school movement. A video documentary of her work, “The Tricycle Solution,” was recently produced and distributed, and another is in process. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Swedenborgian Church, 2107 Lyon St., S.F.

Great-grandfather of Alex and Ella-Rose Schonberger. Uncle of Anita Navon. Friend of Charlotte Amato, who provided care for him during his last years. Born in Constantinople, Turkey. Moved to Paris in the 1920s and established his own business. Survived World War II in occupied France. Moved to California in 1956 and opened the Paris Art Gallery in San Francisco. Retired to Rossmoor at age 90. At his request, no memorial services were held.

Sister of the late Aaron Levy. Native of New York. Raised her children in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Madison, Wis., before moving to Northern California in the early 1970s. Social worker.
