Correspondent | May 21, 2004 Marion Mazurosky Schrager and Hubert Schrager celebrated their 50th anniversary with a Jan. 17 party with dinner, dancing and a 14-piece orchestra at the Embassy Suites in Burlingame. Friends and family from as far away as Haifa, Israel, were in attendance. The couple was married Jan. 16, 1954, at Congregation Beth Sholom in San Francisco, with Rabbi Saul White officiating. Before they were married, White called them into his office and asked if Marion liked to cook. When she said that she did, he replied, “OK, now you can be married.” Marion and Hubert are the parents of Florene (and Lee) Kibbler, Philip (and France) Schrager and Laura (and Drew) Wingard. Grandchildren are Rebecca (and David) Silberstein, Daniel and Nicole Schrager and Brianna and Nolan Wingard. The couple is planning a celebratory trip to Israel and Poland. J.
