Miriam Rose Becker of Canton, Mich., daughter of Anne M. and Michael Becker of San Leandro, and Alan Scott Breslauer of Farmington Hills, Mich., son of Michael Breslauer of Farmington Hills and the late Maxine Breslauer, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be received a bachelor of science in computer engineering from Kettering University and is a computer engineer. She is the sister of Davina Becker of Washington, D.C. Grandparents are Robert Spitzer of Carson City, Nev., the late Helen G. Spitzer and the late Lilli and Rolf Becker.

Her fiancé received a bachelor of science in aerospace from the University of Michigan. He is the brother of Hope Campbell of Boynton Beach, Fla. Grandparents are the late Rose and Murray Jacobs, and the late Gladys and Harry Breslauer.

Miriam and Alan met through a Jewish online dating service. An Aug. 15 wedding is planned.
