The bride-to-be received a bachelor’s degree in education from U.C. Riverside. She is the sister of Melanie Backman of Foster City. Grandparents are Elaine Zins of San Mateo and the late Seymour Zins, Lynda Backman of Foster City, and the late Ted and Beverly Backman. Her fiancé received his bachelor’s degree in political science from U.C. Riverside. He is the brother of Brian Droutsas of Tustin.
