Brother of Sidney (and Zena) Koss and Frances Crash. Great-uncle and uncle to many. Member of Starr King Masonic Lodge and San Francisco Scottish Rite. Longtime member of Congregation Sherith Israel. Services were held by Rabbi Larry Raphael of Sherith Israel at Hills of Eternity on Sept. 28 under the direction of Sinai Memorial Chapel. Donations to charity of your choice.

Litvin, Lorraine. In San Francisco, Oct. 13. Wife of the late Harry Litvin. Mother of Judy Davis, Joel (and Debbie) Litvin and the late Sunny Dodson. Mother-in-law of Bill Dodson. Grandmother of Sam and Sarah Litvin, Don Hooker, Julie Carrillo, Janet Hall, Jackie Thoma, Jennie Davis, Adam Rudd and Beth White, Dana and John Dodson. Great-grandmother of many. Wertheim, Herman. In Burlingame, Oct. 14. Age 102. Husband for 70 years of Erna Wertheim. Father of Lee (and Frank) Battat. Grandfather to Mark (and Bob Hill), Michael (and Susan) Battat and Suzanne (and Frank) Dowling. Great-grandfather of Hannah Battat and Aidan Dowling. Born in Naumburg, Germany (near Kassel). One of eight children of the late Isaac and Frieda Wertheim. To escape the Holocaust, immigrated with his wife and 6-month-old baby to San Francisco in May 1936. Longtime real estate broker. Member of Congregation Emanu-El for over 50 years. Services were held at the chapel of Home of Peace Cemetery in Colma.
