Engagements

Michelle (Shelly) Prensky and David Levin have announced their engagement. A spring 2005 wedding is planned.

The bride-to-be received a bachelor’s degree in family studies from the University of Maryland. She is the human resources manager for Lion’s Gate Entertainment in Santa Monica. She is the daughter of Lois and David Prensky of Bethesda, Md.

Her fiancé received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arizona. He is an account executive for Telerep in Los Angeles. He is the son of Dana (and Jarrett) Evans of San Rafael and Stephen (and Katheryne) Levin of Encino. Grandparents are Judge Donald Constine, the late June Constine and the late Phylys and Derek Levin.

Cindy Goldwasser and Keith E. Gottfried of San Jose have announced their engagement. A spring 2005 wedding in the Dutch Antilles is planned.

The bride-to-be received a bachelor of art’s degree from Northeastern University and a juris doctor degree from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Most recently she was a case manager at the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center in San Mateo. A native of Bogota, she grew up in Miami. She is the daughter of Rachel and Carlos Tisminezky of Caracas, Venezuela, and Mauricio and Gloria Goldwasser of Bogota, Columbia.

Her fiancé received a law degree from Boston University’s School of Law, an M.B.A. from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management and a bachelor of science in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Until recently he was the senior vice president for corporate affairs and special advisor to the CEO at Borland Software Corp. in Scotts Valley. Before that he was at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP and was a corporate attorney in the Philadelphia office of the law firm Blank Rome LLP. He is also a certified public accountant and, prior to attending law school, practiced public accounting with Arthur Young & Company. He is the son of Rosalie P. Gottfried of Queens, N.Y., and Bertram D. Gottfried of Melbourne, Fla.
