Spearheaded establishment of Sons of Israel synagogue in Marshalltown. Headed annual fund-raising campaigns for United Jewish Appeal for 50 years. Appointed to the national board of UJA and received award for service. Member of Congregation Beth Am in Los Altos Hills. Supporter of many philanthropic causes. Resident of Palo Alto for 13 years. Services were held at Hills of Eternity Cemetery in Colma.
