Katherine Joanna Falk and Michael Henry Arick were married Oct. 31 at the Limn Gallery in San Francisco. Justice Stuart Pollak, associate justice of the state Court of Appeals, officiated. Their brothers and sisters held the chuppah.

The bride received a bachelor of art’s degree from U.C. Santa Cruz and a master’s degree in information management and systems from U.C. Berkeley. She is the Web master at the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation. She is the daughter of Nancy and Jerome (Jerry) Falk of Berkeley. She is the sister of Susanna (Susie) Falk (and York Kennedy) of Berkeley. Grandparents are Jerome Falk of Los Altos Hills and the late Mimi Falk and the late Adelaide and Willard Ellis.

The groom received his bachelor of art’s degree from Johns Hopkins and studied computer science at U.C. Santa Cruz. He is a software engineer at Xythos Software in San Francisco. He is the son of Judy and Marty Arick of Newton, Mass. He is the brother of Suzanne (and Simon) Rakov. Grandparents are the late Bess and Wilfred Arick and the late Minna and Fred Tydor.

The newlyweds live in Oakland.
