Sellers of Montgomery, Ala., and Richard Stafford of Columbia, Md., and Michael Adam Strom of San Diego, son of Deborah and Frank Strom of San Francisco, have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from U.C. Santa Barbara and is currently pursuing her master’s of education and teaching credential at National University. She is the sister of David Stafford of San Diego and Ryan Sellers of Montgomery, Ala. Grandparents are Bette and the late Simon Saperstein of Phoenix, Ariz., Ellen and the late Earl Stafford of Valparaiso, Ind., and Mamie and the late Colonel Ronald E. Sellers of Montgomery, Ala. Her fiancé received a bachelor of science in communications of San Diego State University. He is currently the assistant manager of Target in San Diego. He is the brother of Naomi Strom of Brooklyn and Jacob Strom of Los Angeles. Grandparents are Anne and the late Donald Strom of Brooklyn and the late Jacob and Anna May Yanover. The couple met in August 2002 in San Diego, where a September wedding is planned. Heather Emily Robert, daughter of Joan and Charles Robert of Long Beach, N.Y., and David Elkan Coffman, son of Eleanor Coffman and the late Ralph Coffman of San Francisco, have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be received degrees in international relations and French from Tufts University in 1997. She recently passed the California Bar after completing a joint law and master’s degree program at U.C. Hastings College of the Law and The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. She is the sister of Jay Robert of New Orleans. Grandparents are the late Barbara and Henry Lensky of Brooklyn and the late Eleanor and Emil Robert of Chicago. Her fiancé, a fifth-generation Californian, received a degree in economics in 1998 from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in accounting from University of Southern California in 1999. He earned his CPA license in 2003. He works as a senior financial analyst at Oracle Corp. He is very involved with the Young Adult Community at Congregation Emanu-El and is an Oakland A’s season ticket-holder. Grandparents are the late Alphine and Jessyl Jacobs of San Francisco and the late Edith and Edward Coffman of Beverly Hills. The couple lives in San Francisco’s Noe Valley with their dog Winnie. An August wedding in San Francisco is planned. Christine Arena of San Francisco, daughter of Angelo and Alice Arena of Marblehead, Mass., and Michael Donner of San Francisco, son of Sandra and Conrad Donner of San Francisco, have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is an author and consultant. Her first book is “Cause for Success: Ten Companies that Put Profits Second and Came in First.” She received a bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University and a master of arts from New York University. She is the sister of Maria Bell of Los Angeles; Angela Foster of Germantown, Tenn.; and Marissa and Alexa Arena of Cambridge, Mass. Her fiancé is an attorney with Stein & Lubin LLP in San Francisco. He received his bachelor of arts degree and a master of science in real estate development from Columbia University and a juris doctor degree from U.C. Hastings College of the Law. He is the brother of Susan Donner-Klein of Encino and the grandson of the late Celia and Jerome Feldman of San Mateo and the late Marcia and Henry Donner of San Francisco. The couple met when the bride-to-be sought the assistance of an attorney to negotiate her first book contract. Her fiancé never sent a bill.
