Stanford and Danise Chandler of San Francisco celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Jan. 13.

The couple met at the Stage Delicatessen in New York, where Danise was attending Barnard College and Stanford was a recent graduate of Columbia University. They married in London, where Stanford was a graduate student at the University of London. They took an around-the-world honeymoon, and then returned to San Francisco where the bride’s parents, Lorraine and Ira Blue, lived. The couple both worked as teachers at George Washington High School. She was the chairman of the English department and journalism adviser. He taught social studies and was co-chair of the perennial championship speech teams. He is now the forensics coach at Riordan High School, and she is a scoring leader for educational testing.

They are the parents of Shana Leon of Sherman Oaks and Spencer Chandler of New York. Shana is a cantor studying at the University of Judaism. Spencer is directing off-Broadway shows and is featured in “Slava’s Snowshow.”
