Amity Murray, daughter of Holly and Paul Murray of Wilbraham, Mass., and Mike Spiegel, son of Joan Spiegel of Berkeley and Philip and Carolyn Spiegel of Los Altos, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of The MacDuffie School in Springfield, Mass. She earned a bachelor’s degree in media studies from New York University. She is a publicist at Viking Penguin Books in New York City.

Her fiancé graduated from Homestead High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from U.C. Berkeley. He is a senior copywriter at R/GA, an advertising agency in New York City.

A September wedding in Hampden, Mass., is planned. The couple will live in Brooklyn.

Rachel Lauren Loeb, daughter of Ann Kaufman Baum and G. Kenneth Baum (and the late Milford Loeb II) of Stilwell, Kan., and Zachary Daniel Block, son of Susan and Rabbi Richard Block of Shaker Heights, Ohio, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be received a Ralph Adam Cram Award for her thesis from the Department of Urban Studies and Planning at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a development manager at Avalon Bay Communities. She is the sister of Emily Loeb (and Lee Hammons) of Spokane, Wash. Grandparents are Ilsa Cole and the late Walter Cole and Esther Loeb and the late Donald Loeb.

Her fiancé graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree from Brown University. He is the brother of Joshua Block (and Kimberly and Aaron Block) of Bethesda, Md. Grandparents are Henrietta and Victor Garfinkle of Alameda and Marian and Robert Block of Seattle.

The couple met on JDate while living in Boston.
