Correspondent | March 25, 2005 Asya Gelfand, daughter of Anatoly Khavin of Bnei Brak, Israel and the late Margarita Terletsky, and David Karl Goodman, son of Rhonna and Ezra Goodman of Brooklyn, have announced their engagement. The bride-to-be is in her senior year at San Francisco State University. She was a lieutenant in the Israeli navy. She is the sister of Leah Gelfand of Ramat Gan, Israel. Grandparents are the late Lubov Yasnogorodsky and Alexander Terletsky. Her fiancé works in the technology sector in the Bay Area. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree from Georgetown University. He also served in the Israeli military. He is the brother of Miriam Goodman of Brooklyn. Grandparents are the late Bess and Sam Appel and the late Miriam and Yitzhak Goodman. A summer wedding is planned in New York City. J.
