The bride-to-be is pursuing a master’s degree from San Jose State. She received a degree in global studies from U.C. Santa Barbara. She is the sister of Gabriel Yarra of Seattle and Fanya Stein of Sacramento. Grandparents are Opal and Herbert Naiburg of Stamford, Conn., Adrienne and Jack Stein of Santa Cruz and the late Gertrude and Morris Yarra of New York City.

Her fiancé is the owner of American National DME, a durable medical equipment company. He received a degree in urban studies from U.C. San Diego, a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California. He is the brother of Deborah Feldman of Santa Monica. Grandparents are Annabelle Behr and the late Ben Behr and the late Joseph and Florence Feldman.

A 2006 summer wedding in Palo Alto is planned.

Allison Hope Levy, daughter of Helene Dessler Levy of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Stephanie and Steve Levy of New York, and Jason Shane Bauman, son of Robin and Joseph Bauman of Orinda and New York, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a stylist agent for Bryan Bantry, Inc. She is a volunteer for Giving Inspiration for Tomorrow and Ovarian Cancer Fundraising. She is the sister of Jennifer and Anthony Niederhoffer of Brooklyn and Alex Zaro of New York. Grandparents are Amely and Arthur Levy of Riverdale and Ruth and the late Nathan Dessler.

Her fiancé is the associate sales manager of Comp-u-Pay. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland. He is the brother of Marissa Bauman of Orinda. Grandparents are Rose and the late Milton Bauman and Rita and Alex Gilbert of Plantation, Fla.

The couple met on JDate. They went on their first date in November 2002. An April 2006 wedding is planned in New York.

The bride-to-be is a children’s clothing designer. She attended the University of Arizona. She is the sister of Jessie and Josh Rothstein of Los Angeles. Grandparents are Sophie Suleiman of Evanston, Ill., and Augusta Rothstein of Los Angeles.

Her fiancé works in commercial real estate. He attended the University of Arizona. He is the brother of Leah (and Adam) Felson and Harris (and Carrie) Ross of Weston, Fla. He is the grandson of Augusta Ross of Huntington Beach.

Jessie Temple, daughter of Ann and Robert Temple of Berkeley, and Ali Austin, daughter of Barbara Hana Austin of Calistoga and the late Martin Judah Austin, have announced their engagement.

Jessie Temple is in her senior year at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She is the sister of Julia and Carl Temple of Berkeley. Grandparents are the late Alice and Lee Shriver and the late Anita and Irwin Temple.

Ali Austin is the founding partner of The Austin Law Group in San Francisco. She received a juris doctorate degree from the New College of California Law School. She is a member of the California Lawyer for the Arts. She is a board member of the Alliance of the Jewish Federation of San Francisco. She is the sister of Hunter Austin of Calistoga.
