Jennifer Ruderman and Michael Ziman of San Francisco have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a sales executive at ValueClick Media. She is president of RRconnect.com and a member of Hadassah and Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco. She received a bachelor’s degree in business and in economics from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.

She is the daughter of Barbara and Barry Ruderman of Roslyn, N.Y. She is the sister of Jordan Ruderman and (and Laiya) Ruderman of Santa Cruz and the aunt of Sampson, Atara and Zimona Ruderman. She is the granddaughter of Ann Siskind of Osprey, Fla.

Her fiancé received his bachelor’s degree and his Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Vermont, Burlington. He is the son of Sandra and Saul Ziman of Princeton, N.J. He is the brother of David (and Merle) Ziman of San Diego and the uncle of Charlie and Frank Ziman; the brother of Amy (and Conrad) Druker of Princeton, and the uncle of and Samantha and Caitie Druker.

The couple met on JDate and Michael proposed one year later on a weekend getaway in Napa. He wrote his proposal on a photo of the couple and hid it inside a heart-shaped jigsaw puzzle.

Jill Stacey Silverman of San Carlos and Mark Brent Brier of San Mateo have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is an executive assistant. She received her bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University.

She is the daughter of Sharon and Leonard Silverman of San Bruno. She is the sister of Bonni Silverman of Foster City. She is the granddaughter of the late Bernice and Albert Milenbach and the late Rose and Al Silverman.

Her fiancé received his bachelor’s degree from Cal State Northridge. He is the son of Beverly and Sanford Brier of Santa Barbara. He is the brother of Lauri Baker and Arnold Brier, both of Santa Barbara. He is the grandson of the late Anna Rae Brier and Morris Brier, and Anne Frank and the late Louie Lewis of Palm Desert, Calif.

Lisa Michelle Elfand and Kevin Michael Gross have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a program director for Bay Area Community Services. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from U.C. Santa Cruz and her master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the Pacific Graduate School of Psychology in Palo Alto. She is the daughter of Gay and Ken Elfand of Woodland Hills and the sister of Brian Alan Elfand of Hollywood. Grandparents are the late Dorothy and Louis Fine of Philadelphia and the late Gertrude and Samuel Elfand of Philadelphia.

Her fiancé is an attorney with the enforcement division of the Securities and Exchange Commission in San Francisco. He graduated from Stanford University and received his law degree from UCLA. He is the son of Joan and Stanley Gross of San Mateo. He is the brother of Michelle and Andrew Gross of Union City and Leilani and Gary Gross of Huntington Beach. Grandparents are Madeleine Kaufmann and the late Felton Kaufmann of San Francisco and Sylvia Gross and the late Harry Gross of Oakland.

The wedding will be held in November at Shomrei Torah Synagogue in West Hills.
