Teaming with the Jewish Community Relations Councils of San Antonio and San Francisco, as well as the S.F. based Jewish Family and Children’s Services, a group of native Texans living in the South Bay have formed Bay Area Relief of California to help 30,000 displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina living in and around south Texas.

Bay Area Relief will also work with the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Associations network and other social service agencies to ensure funds go where most needed. Donation of clothing, toiletries and other essentials are also needed and can be dropped at local distribution centers.
