Loving son of the late Lillie and Emanuel Rothblum. Devoted brother of the late Helen and Jay Klein. Beloved uncle to Bobbie and Ken Lebovitz. Uncle to Brad, Karen, Loren and Stacey. Their children, Marcus, Jordan, Ayla, Shay and Mara. Carl was born and raised in San Francisco. A graduate of Poly High. Past master of Pacific Starr King Lodge No. 136 F & AM and a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite member. Carl was an extremely active member of Asiya Shrine and was honored with many notable positions. Emeritus member of the board of governors of the Shrine Hospital for Children. For the past 13 years Carl was a resident of the Jewish Home in S.F. He was secretary for 5 years and president for 4 years of the Council of Residents. A memorial service was held in his honor. Contributions can be made in Carl’s memory to the Jewish Home, 302 Silver Ave., S.F.,CA 94112 or The Shrine Hospital in Sacramento. Frances Plansky in San Francisco on Dec. 12, 2005 at age 88. Beloved wife of the late Morris Plansky; loving mother of Paul Plansky, Frieda Vogel, Don Plansky and Maxine Riordon; caring mother-in-law of Arthur Vogel and Frank Riordon; devoted grandmother of Michael Plansky, Julia and Joshua Vogel, Jocelyn and Marshall Riordon. Funeral services were held at Sinai Memorial Chapel, 1501 Divisadero St., at Geary Boulevard with interment following at Salem Memorial Park, Colma.
