Correspondent | April 21, 2006 Lehrhaus Judaica is offering a five-part class on the history of the Soviet Jewry movement. The class, scheduled to be held in Palo Alto, will cover the early efforts to save the Soviet Jews, the rise of resistance and renaissance, support groups in the free world, alliances with human rights advocates and the American government, and post-glasnost activities. It will be taught by Phil Spiegel, a longtime activist who has been working on a book about the Soviet Jewry movement for the past three years.
