Erica Newman and Steven Sesar were married on March 18, 2006 at the Lodge at Rancho Mirage in the Palm Desert Area. Cantor Martin Feldman of San Francisco officiated at the ceremony. The bride grew up in Hillsborough, CA and is the daughter of Ruth and Jerry Newman, and the sister of Ari Newman of Boulder, Colorado. Erica attended the University of Arizona and earned a BS degree in child development. She is currently a recruiter at Elite Placement Group in Los Angeles. The groom grew up in Encino, CA and is the son of Jo-ann and Dennis Sesar and the brother of Joshua Sesar and Laura Murtagh, both of Los Angeles. Steven received his BA in Business Economics from UCLA, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He is currently employed as Director of Business Development at Shopzilla. The couple honeymooned in Kaui, and the big island of Hawaii, and currently reside in Los Angeles.

Esther and Dr. Michael Levine of Atlanta announced the marriage of their daughter, Shira, of San Francisco, to Dan Halperin, son of Sylvia and Ron Halperin of Perth, Australia. Shira is the granddaughter of the late Frances and David Gerson of Columbus, Ga. and the late Rose and Herman Levine of Malden, Mass. She received her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and an MBA from Kellogg School of Business. She is the Marketing Director for Prosper, a people-to-people Internet lending company. Shira is a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Jewish World Service. Dan is the grandson of Annaliese Lippman and the late Gert Lippman of Sydney, Australia and Meir Halperin and the late Manya Halperin of Perth, Australia. He received a law degree from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from Duke University Fuqua School of Business. He is a Finance Manager with Pacific, Gas and Electric. Dan is a member of the Board of Trustees for the San Francisco chapter of the American Jewish Committee. The couple were married on May 28 in San Francisco.

Diana Marie Torrey and Michael Wegbreit were married July 3, 2006 at Holbrook Palmer Park, Atherton, California. Rabbi David Levinsky officiated at the evening ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Susan and Robert Ritz, Santa Clara, California, and Charles Torrey and Gay Schy, Vashon, Washington, and granddaughter of Erna Wilson, Palo Alto, California. Diana attended Cupertino HS and completed her BA at UCLA. She earned Masters degrees in Psychology and in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University and Santa Clara University, respectively. She is completing her internship toward licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. The groom is the son of Beth and Ben Wegbreit, Palo Alto, California and grandson of Rachel Wegbreit, Rockville, Maryland. Michael attended Palo Alto HS and received his BA from CU Boulder. Michael is Worldwide Sales Operations Manager at VMware, Palo Alto. After honeymooning in Hawaii, the newlyweds will reside in Mountain View.
