They have lived in Northern California for more than 29 years and now reside in Ben Lomond. They belong to both Kol Emeth in Palo Alto and Kol T’fillah in Santa Cruz. They have used their “retirement” years to volunteer with the Santa Cruz County Red Cross Chapter, traveling to many disasters as Red Cross volunteers to assist the victims. When they are not traveling on behalf of the Red Cross, they kvell with their four living children and seven grandchildren, who all live in Northern California. They have one son, Dean Hoffman, who pre-deceased them. Donations in their honor can be made to the Santa Cruz County Red Cross Chapter or the Dean Hoffman Memorial Scholarship at Kol Emeth. J.
