Stephen and Marilyn Rudee of Foster City are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jill Lynn Rudee, to Sean David Melvin, son of Leah Cohn and the late William Dane Melvin and stepson of Dr. Andrew Davis. Jill is the granddaughter of Marjorie Rudee and the late Milton Rudee, and the late Muriel and Leonard Cohn. Sean is the grandson of Lonnie Bowen, and the late George Melvin and the late Rae and Maurice Cohn.

Jill is the director of the conservatorship program at Jewish Family and Children Services, and Sean is a sales operation specialist at Salesforce.com. They both work and reside in San Francisco.

A 2008 wedding is planned.

Miriam Boxerman and Miles Berger of San Francisco have announced their engagement.

Miriam received her BA from UC Berkeley and MPH from UCLA. She is the Education and Support Manager at the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, Northern California Chapter. She is the daughter of David and Yvonne Boxerman of Palo Alto and the sister of Jonathan (and Jennifer) Boxerman of Chicago and Aaron (and Cindy) Boxerman of San Francisco. Miriam is the granddaughter of Sylvia Morris and the late Bernie Morris and the late Florence and William Boxerman.

Miles received his BA from Columbia University and PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco and is currently completing his MD also at UCSF. He is the son of Dr. Melvin Berger of Cleveland, OH and Merrianne Leff of High Point, NC and the brother of Jocelyn Berger of San Francisco. Miles is the grandson of the late Mildred and Arthur Moss and the late Lillian and Meyer Berger.

Miriam and Miles met in 2004 through the social networking website Friendster. An August wedding in Atherton is planned.
