Featuring the complete 1940 work, the Szyk Haggadah from Historicana (a Burlingame Judaica company) comes in two editions: a deluxe leather and clothbound version, which sells for $8,500, and a premiere edition that sells for $15,000. Both versions come with a separate book of essays about the Polish-born artist and his impact on 20th-century Jewish art. A documentary about the Szyk Haggadah and the Historicana reprinting is also available. Szyk died in 1951. His heirs have worked closely with Historicana in reproducing the haggadah, which consists of 48 pen and gouache paintings, as well as medieval-style illumination.
