Companion activities for people of all ages include elaborate mind games from Israel’s Weizmann Institute, a Lego irrigation project demonstrating how Israelis make the desert bloom, and a replica of Israel’s Declaration of Independence — inviting visitors to add their signatures to those of David Ben-Gurion and Golda Meir, and to suggest improvements. Participants can also design aid missions to the world’s needy, join arts and crafts workshops and compete in a game of Israeli Trivial Pursuit. “A Taste of the Best of Israel” will be divided into two sections: one in Yerba Buena’s central grassy area and the other in the family and children’s area.
