The recipes must be kosher and include at least one Manischewitz product. Entries, which are limited to one per day, can be submitted online at www.mansichewitz.com. A panel of food professionals — including chefs and writers — will select the top recipes. Six entrants will be selected to compete in the New York City finals in February 2009. A panel will judge the finalists’ recipes based on taste (50 percent of the score), ease of preparation (20 percent), appearance (15 percent) and originality (15 percent). All finalists will win a $2,000 package including the trip to New York City to compete for the grand prize. The winner will receive a $25,000 package including kitchen appliances, a $5,000 check, and a recipe in a future Manischewitz cookbook. Earlier this year, Evan Levy of Danville competed in the finals of the second annual cook-off. The top prize, however, went to Joy Devor of Rockaway, N.Y., for her flounder rolls. J.
