Dr. Lillian Leong and Dr. Daniel Michael were married on September 13, 2008, at the Artden Hills Resort in Sacramento. Cantor David Margules of Rodef Sholom (San Rafael) and Judge Richard Breiner, Daniel’s uncle, officiated at the ceremony.

Lillian is the daughter of Sammy and Ivy Leong of Sacramento. She graduated from UC Davis, earned a D.O. degree from Western University and Health Sciences and is practicing Family Medicine in Walnut Creek at the John Muir Center.

Dan is the son of Dr. John and Harriett Michael of San Rafael. He graduated from UC Santa Cruz and earned an MD and a PH.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in The Bronx. He is practicing Dermatology at Kaiser, Walnut Creek.

Their attendants were Jeffrey and Carrie Newman, Best Man and Matron of Honor; groomsmen: James Cleary and Norman Leong, Lillian’s brother; bridesmaids were Donna Gow, Maria Fuentes, and Daniel’s sisters, Cynthia J.L. Michael and Lisa Michael.

The flower girl was Elle Newman and ring bearers were Jordan Newman and Dan’s nephew, Aaron Pascal.

Lillian and Dan met during their residencies at UC Davis Medical School in Sacramento. The song “Take a Chance On Me” (Abba) played during the processional.

Noa Slemrod and Rabbi Mark Asher Goodman were married in a joyous ceremony in San Francisco on November 2nd. The wedding was performed by Rabbi Dorothy Richman. Noa is the daughter of Marshall and Sonia Slemrod of Madison, Wisconsin. Mark is the son of James and Marilyn Goodman of Los Angeles. Noa and Mark met at the Jewish Community High School of the Bay, where they both work happily in serving the Jewish community.
