A panel discussion Oct. 18 at Temple Sinai in Oakland will provide advice and resources for caregivers. Panelists will talk about the challenges of long-distance caregiving, accessing community resources, organizing medical information, and communication tips for speaking with caregivers, family and medical providers. The panel begins at 2 p.m. Oct. 18 at Temple Sinai’s campus at Merritt College. It is free to attend. The panelists include Rabbi Steven Chester, Linda Winkler Galvin of Health Management Associates, Jane Malmgren of Home Instead Senior Care, Dan Fendel of Temple Sinai’s Caring Community and Ada Burko of the Suse Moyal Center for Older Adult Services at Jewish Family and Children’s Service of the East Bay.
