Jewish Family and Children’s Services is hosting a six-week educational support group in San Rafael titled “You and Your Aging Parent.”
The classes are designed for adult children, partners, and formal and informal caregivers who are coping with issues related to the aging process.
Caregivers will learn about juggling conflicting responsibilities and needs, finding and coordinating services and long-distance caregiving.
The group, led by social workers Erin Schwartz and Maggie Sorgen, will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays from Oct. 14 through Nov. 18 at the JFCS Marin office, 600 Fifth Ave., San Rafael.
There is no fee for the program, but a $100 donation is suggested. Pre-registration is required.
