8/12/33 (San Francisco) — 11/11/09 (Denver), 76 years old

Son of the late Jack and Betty LaPedis; husband of Sundi LaPedis; father of Aaron LaPedis (Sandee); grandfather of Logan LaPedis; brother of Arthur (deceased) and Bernard LaPedis; brother-in-law of Joan LaPedis and Esther LaPedis; uncle of Ron (Kuen) LaPedis, Ilene (Frank) Henwood, Michyle LaPedis (Karim Lazrak), Steve (Sandra) LaPedis, and Jack (Stephanie) LaPedis; great-uncle of Austin and Marci Biro, Gabriel Lazrak, Zachary and Emerson LaPedis, and Sarah and Ryan LaPedis.

Services have been held. Donations to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.

Martin Lemesh

Beloved husband of the late Stella Lemesh, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2009 at Country Villa Healthcare Center in San Rafael with family by his side. Martin, the 2nd of 3 sons, was born on November 28, 1926 in Portland Oregon to Zilia and Pincu Lemesh of Yasi and Bucharest, Romania, respectively. The family moved to San Francisco during the Great Depression when Martin’s father found work as a tailor at Pausen’s Clothiers. Martin attended Everett Junior High and Lowell High School graduating from the latter in 1944. Martin served in the Army Air Corps during the Pacific Campaign during World War II and attained the rank of Master Sergeant.

Martin met Stella at the Jewish Community Center in San Francisco and they were married in 1955. Martin had a successful dual career spanning over 35 years. He was a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and also retired in 1984 as the Deputy Director of the U.S. Treasury Department. Martin and Stella traveled extensively and enjoyed dancing and entertaining family and friends. Martin was blessed with four children: Michael (Lucette) Lemesh of Stockton, California; Russell Lemesh (Karen Kaufman) of San Rafael, California; Brian (Tamara) Lemesh of Petaluma, California and; Lisa (Mark) Cleaner of Colfax, California. Martin is also survived by grandsons, Brandon and Ezra Lemesh and granddaughters, Aiva, Brittany, Rachel and Sara Lemesh and, Jennifer, Lauren, and Selena Cleaner.

Martin was preceded in death by his late wife Stella after 34 years of marriage and by his late brothers Benjamin and Harold. Martin will be remembered for his sense of humor, devotion to family and philanthropy to many Jewish agencies and wildlife organizations. Martin was active in many civic organizations including the Jewish War Veterans, Odd Fellows, Elks Club and City of Hope. A memorial service was held at the Eternal Home Cemetery on November 22nd. He will be truly missed. Sinai Memorial Chapel.

Sylvia Segal born Feb 22, 1918 in San Francisco. Married to Louis Segal (deceased). Survived by children Linda Attell(Gary), and Beverly Norman, Grandchildren Michele Morgan (John), Nadine Attell, Michael Attell (Kimberly), Melissa and Sean Norman and great grandchildren Rachel and Joshua Morgan, Claire and Sophia Attell and Azel Overholtzer. Sylvia died November 16, 2009. Private services held at Salem. Donations to the Jewish Home for the Aged.
