Correspondent | April 23, 2010 Congregation Beth El in Berkeley has started a new family Shabbat school, Chug Mishpacha, and will host an open house on May 1. The program, which runs from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Saturdays, is for families with children in preschool through sixth grade. During Chug Mishpacha, adults and children study separately for the first hour and then gather for services, singing and Kiddush. Twenty families are already enrolled in the program.
