Lehrhaus Judaica announced this week that Rabbi Peretz Wolf-Prusan will join the staff of the adult Jewish education center in Berkeley.

Wolf-Prusan has served as a rabbi and senior educator at Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco for 20 years. He leaves the synagogue June 1 and begins work at Lehrhaus in October.

Wolf-Prusan will serve as the organization’s rabbi and senior educator, a position funded by the Laszlo N. Tauber Family Foundation.

He will work closely with Lehrhaus Executive Director Jehon Grist and founding director Fred Rosenbaum, bringing an expertise of Talmud and Torah to Lehrhaus. He will teach classical texts and lead community programs, weekend retreats and family tours to Israel.
