East Bay senior services center moves to Berkeley

The Suse Moyal Center for Older Adult Services, a division of Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay, has moved to new of offices adjacent to the JFCS main office in Berkeley. The center serves older adults in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

JFCS executive director Avi Rose said the move will facilitate greater efficiency, cost savings and collaboration among agency departments.

“Most of us will be in one location in Berkeley now,” Rose said, noting the Moyal Center had previously been based in Albany. “We’re also in the process of rethinking our services for the whole spectrum, including older adults, and responding to cultural trends in aging and retirement.”

The new center will continue to be JFCS’ primary base for care management, consultation and counseling services for older adults, as well as an array of services for Holocaust survivors.

The Suse Moyal Center for Older Adult Services is now located at 2484 Shattuck Ave., Suite 210, Berkeley. For more information, call (510) 558-7800 or visit www.jfcs-eastbay.org.
