News Israel Coffee, tea and conversation with a focus on Israel Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | May 27, 2011 Want to travel to Israel? Study at a university there or work on a kibbutz? Or just find a way here in the Bay Area to engage with the Jewish state? Then stop by the Fed Café for coffee, mint tea and one-on-one conversation covering all things Israel. Look stage left at Yerba Buena Gardens for the colorful umbrellas and tables that mark the café’s debut at Israel in the Gardens. Representatives from the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, Israel Center, Jewish Agency and Masa will be on hand to answer questions, hand out brochures, and elaborate on opportunities to go to Israel or connect with Israel in one way or another. In the past, each of the agencies has had separate booths at Israel in the Gardens. But this year, organizers of the event were looking for a more casual and collaborative way to promote the Jewish state. “Everybody will be together,” said Barak Loozon, director for Young Adult Engagement to Israel at the SFJCF. “There will be everything Israel-related to help you find ‘your’ Israel.” J.
