After attack, Egypt resumes gas exports to Israel Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | June 10, 2011 Israel’s natural gas supplier says shipments from Egypt have resumed after a six-week cutoff caused by an attack on a Sinai desert terminal. Masked gunmen blew up the terminal on April 27. Egypt’s oil minister said last week that supplies to Israel and Arab nations would not resume until security is improved to protect a pipeline that has been blown up several times. The state-owned Israel Natural Gas Lines Co. Ltd. said Friday that gas was reaching Israel and it was being distributed to consumers. The company would not discuss the circumstances surrounding the resumption. Egyptians have criticized sales of natural gas to Israel since President Hosni Mubarak’s regime was toppled in February, saying the price is too low and Mubarak’s cronies benefited. J.
