Correspondent | July 8, 2011 The Palo Alto–based Friendship Circle, which pairs Jewish teens with special needs children, and the Bureau of Jewish Education’s North Peninsula Special Needs Initiative will join forces for an informal family time get-together. The event brings together Jewish families with special needs children to learn more about the agencies’ programs. The event takes place from 10 a.m to 12 p.m. July 17 at Shoup Park in Los Altos. Group sports, crafts and other activities are planned. Friendship Circle teen volunteers will be on hand, and light snacks will be provided.
