Correspondent | August 5, 2011 Lehrhaus Judaica, the Aleph Society, Kevah and others are seeking participants for the Bay Area Community Talmud Circle, a nine-month program of Talmud study. Meeting one Sunday a month starting Oct. 30, students will read Talmud, engage in chevruta (partner) study and discussion, participate in webinars and attend a spring event with renowned Talmud scholar Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz. Lehrhaus Judaica professor Deena Aranoff will teach all classes. Other Talmud Circle partners include the Jewish Community Center of the East Bay and Congregations Beth El, Beth Israel and Netivot Shalom. Talmud Circle meetings will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 30, Nov. 13, Dec. 4, Jan. 15, Feb. 5 and 26, March 18, April 22 and May 13 at Lehrhaus Judaica, 2736 Bancroft Way, Berkeley.
