In an Aug. 12 article about Farm Forward, j. mistakenly reported that Empire Kosher poultry was soon to receive the Conservative movement’s new Magen Tzedek seal of kashrut. This is not the case. Empire Kosher does carry the OU, KAJ and Star-K certifications.
In addition, Agriprocessors has never been found guilty of labor law and animal abuse violations.
Also, an article about the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards luncheon should have stated that each winner receives a $36,000 grant. The Aug. 29 luncheon is not open to the public.
