Reviving the popular “Glee” theme from last year’s annual Chanukah show, the residents and staff at the Jewish Home of San Francisco are putting on another holiday concert that taps into the hit TV show’s high-school fanfare.

“Simchah: The Senior Year” will feature two rival “chai” schools competing in performance, with parody songs composed by seniors.

Among the songs will be a jazzy “Golden Girls” theme song, an ode to Manischewitz called “Red, Red Wine” and old favorites, such as “Thank You for Being a Friend.”

The accompanying band includes talented staff members and musical director Randy Craig on piano.

The public is welcome to attend a performance for the community set for

2 p.m. Dec. 11 in the Lynne and Roy Frank Family Lounge at the Jewish Home, 302 Silver Ave. San Francisco. There are additional shows for residents and their loved ones.
