Correspondent | December 16, 2011 The Jerusalem Peacemakers, an international network of interfaith peace advocates and a member organization of the S.F.-based United Religions Initiative, is hosting some local talks next week. The schedule: Sunday, Dec. 18, 10 a.m. at Chochmat HaLev, 2215 Prince St., Berkeley. The topic will be “Tools for Dealing with the Israel-Palestine Issue in a Healing, Uniting Way.” Monday, Dec. 19, 7 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, 900 High St., Santa Cruz. The topic will be “Sparks of Peace: Interfaith Cooperation for Healing the Children of Abraham.” Tuesday, Dec. 20, 7 p.m. at Congregation Sha’ar Zahav, 290 Dolores St., San Francisco. The topic will be “Lights of Peace: Stories of Hope From the Holy Land.” A Chanukah celebration will feature stories of Muslim-Jewish peace efforts. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 7 p.m. at Open Secret Bookstore, 923 C St., San Rafael. The topic will be “Spiritually-Based Peacemaking in the Holy Land.” All events are free and open to the public.
