Manischewitz cookoff calls for entries Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | December 16, 2011 The annual Man-o-Manischewitz Cook-Off, in which five finalists prepare their best kosher recipe using Manischewitz products for a grand prize valued at $22,000, is accepting entries through Jan. 15, 2012. Submitted recipes must include one of the Manischewitz ready-to-serve broth flavors — chicken, reduced-sodium chicken, beef or vegetable — and one other Manischewitz product. The recipes must take one hour or less to prepare. Four finalists will be chosen by a judging panel, while the fifth will be selected by the public. From Feb. 13 to 24, consumers can vote for one of five top-ranking contestants at www.manischewitz.com or via Facebook and Twitter. The finalists receive a paid trip to New York to compete March 28 in front of an audience and panel of judges, led by celebrity chef Claire Robinson. Prizes include Maytag appliances, cash and a crystal trophy. This year’s cookoff will support Rock CAN Roll, a nonprofit hunger relief organization.
