Correspondent | December 23, 2011 Afikomen Judaica in Berkeley is hosting a free, daylong Chanukah celebration beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25. The event will include story time, musical performances and a menorah lighting at 4:30 p.m. The store will be open for shopping during the event, which ends at 5 p.m. Latkes and Chinese food (from 12 Tribes kosher catering of San Francisco) will be available for purchase. Octopretzel will perform a children’s concert at 12 p.m., John Erlich of Za’atar will perform Mizrachi music at 1 p.m., and Jerusalemite reggae songstress Queen Makedah will top off the day’s entertainment at 3 p.m. Afikomen Judaica is located at 3042 Claremont Ave., Berkeley.
