Judith Charlotte Deutsch Winston

Judith Charlotte Deutsch Winston died Dec. 6, 2011 at her home in Larkspur, CA. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 13, 1935. Before moving to Marin County in 1990, she had previously lived in Cincinnati, Ohio and in Los Angeles, California. Her warm smile and infectious laugh will be missed by all.

A former John Robert Powers model, she studied art at the University of Cincinnati and Miami University. She also managed for retailer Bullocks and Bullocks Wilshire. An avid golfer, she loved the arts, movies, symphony, opera, and ballet. She volunteered at Kaiser Hospital and Max Liss Marin City of Hope and was an active participant in the YMCA Cardio-Rehab Group. She later took various courses at L.A. Pierce College, College of Marin, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Dominican University of California.

There will be no funeral service and she will be buried in the Hesselberger family plot in the Jewish Cemeteries of Greater Cincinnati in the spring of 2012. She was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte B. Deutsch, father, Theodore C. Deutsch, and her brother, Theodore C. Deutsch Jr. In addition, her loving husband, Gerald I. Winston. She is survived by her loving son Edward Winston, (Esther) and two grandsons, Geoffrey and Stephen.
