JCC caf shuts doors after 6 years Facebook Twitter Email SMS WhatsApp Share By J. Correspondent | February 3, 2012 Mangia/Nosh Café, which served visitors to the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael for 61⁄2 years, closed its doors for good on Jan. 27 — after owner Robert Meyer doled out free ice cream sundaes to every child who walked in. The café had the longest tenure of any eatery at that JCC. “I’ve been part of that community for a long time. I’ve watched kids go through school, I know the clientele. I sit with Holocaust survivors every day,” said Meyer, who has been a caterer for 25 years. He’ll continue to run his private catering business, also called Mangia/Nosh, in San Rafael. The JCC plans to replace Meyer’s business with another food establishment, but the café is closed until further notice. To contact Mangia/Nosh catering, visit www.mangianosh.com. J.
