Correspondent | March 9, 2012 With Passover not too far off — the first seder is the evening of April 6 — two local kosher buying clubs are letting people know that they can order kosher meats for local delivery and minimize shipping costs. The San Francisco Buying Club purchases its meat from Maryland-based KOL Foods. Orders must be submitted by March 21, and will be available for pickup at four Bay Area locations on April 3: San Francisco (the JCC), Foster City (Ronald C. Wornick Jewish Day School) and private residences in Berkeley and Saratoga. For more information, visit www.kolfoods.com and select “San Francisco Bay Area” under the heading “Pesach Buying Clubs.” For more information, call (888) 366-3565. Pre-Passover orders for the Bay Area Buying Club, which orders from New York–based Grow and Behold, are due by March 20. They will be delivered April 2 to a residence in Oakland and the Jewish Community High School of the Bay in San Francisco.
