Leading Israeli recording artist Noa swings into the Bay Area next week for a show at the Oshman Family JCC. Noa (known in Israel as Achinoam Nini) has collaborated with Sting, Carlos Santana and Stevie Wonder and performed for President Bill Clinton and Pope John Paul II. She names Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen as influences, with a sound that blends her Yemenite roots, jazz and rock. Noa will be accompanied onstage by Israeli Arab singer Mira Awad.
