Correspondent | May 18, 2012 “Homeland” co-stars Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin arrived in Israel on May 9 to film the second season of the popular Showtime TV series. They were expected to remain in Israel for about two weeks, according to reports. After Danes’ first visit to Israel last year to film parts of the first season, she called Tel Aviv the “most intense party town.” “Homeland” tells the story of an American soldier released from captivity in Iraq and a CIA officer played by Danes who suspects him of becoming a spy for al-Qaida. It is based on the Israeli show “Hatufim,” or Prisoners of War. The second season of “Homeland” is set to premiere Sept. 30. — jta J. Correspondent Also On J.
